About the event

Participate in the inaugural two-day session of the Mobile Crisis Team Training Academy.
Day 1: November 12, 2024 - 8:00am to 4:30pm
Day 2: November 13, 2024 - 8:00am to 4:00pm
This academy delivers training and technical assistance to mobile crisis teams in New Mexico, as well as to provisional Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC). The training covers a wide range of topics, such as the function of mobile crisis teams in the crisis continuum, intervention assessment, trauma-informed care, risk assessment, motivational interviewing, legal considerations for mobile crisis teams, peer support specialists, engagement with specific populations, verbal de-escalation techniques, safety planning, care coordination, situational awareness, and understanding law enforcement culture.
All subjects are taught by experts who currently or have previously been involved in MCT services.
